The magic of the online fundraising team’s process is its dedication to controlled (“a/b”) testing, which leverages Wikipedia’s audience of millions of readers to iterate and improve all elements of our online donor pipeline. We use that testing model on the email team to contact more than 15 million people each year while ensuring we respect our donors’ inboxes.

Senior Director of External Communications (Marketing Communications)

This role will be responsible for marketing and communications at Wikimedia Foundation, developing strategy for the Foundation’s global external communications, and directing execution across all paid, owned and earned media channels, to maximize impact. This includes integrated marketing, digital communications, media relations, executive communications, and integration with the insight and analytics capability that supports all of these disciplines. To maximize the positive impact of External Communications on the Foundation as a whole, success in this role will necessitate close collaboration with other specialists in the Department. Legal Fellow (Fall 2022)

If you’re a current law student or recent law school graduate passionate about free knowledge and open source issues, applying to our legal fellowship program can provide an immersive in-house experience with specific education and training in the areas of Internet law and free knowledge organizations. Each fellow will receive individualized projects that they will be expected to spearhead under the supervision and guidance of an attorney from the Legal Department. Senior Committee Support Manager

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Committee Support Manager to join our team, reporting to the Foundation Legal Director of Litigation.  As the Committee Support Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Foundation’s staff support functions for several committees of volunteer Wikimedia editors. This will include overseeing logistical and strategic support for at least the Affiliations Committee, Ombuds Commission, Arbitration Committees, and the Case Review Committee.  It will likely include the developing Global Council as well. In this role, you will work with your team to ensure that these volunteer committees have access to the support they need to operate smoothly. You will also be responsible for identifying complex issues and coordinating with other staff within the Foundation to provide support as necessary to address such issues. You will play an important role in ensuring that the hard-working volunteers who support the Wikimedia movement through these committees are able to meet their commitments with confidence and high engagement.
